As he dreams his past is finally revealed. His childhood was during a time of war and this is a primary influence between his upbringing particularly regarding the existence of God. Rain's transformation to immortality is outlined as is Yuca's own immortality. Yuca is continuously reborn and his constant rebirth has made him tired. He wants to kill all of mankind so that he can die. He makes a bet with Rain if Rain can still believe in humanity then he must continuously kill Yuca everytime he(Yuca) is reborn. Otherwise Yuca will keep trying to destroy the world.As the story of Rain's past ends Machika stands in front of the frozen Freya crying. Also in this volume is an extra chapter concerning Machika's youth. |
